Gift Ideas for the Tween/Teenage Boy

Hey friends! First I wanna apologize about being MIA here on the blog over the past week. I had so many fun posts planned, ended up having an endometriosis flare and getting sick with a sinus infection. It was brutal and took all the life out of me. I'm on the mend though and ready to get back into my routine. I hate when things like that happen sometimes and we feel all out of it.

I'm anxious that Christmas is coming but for sure don't want it to sneak up too fast. I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet but in my mind, I'm already behind and lost a whole week.

I promised I would start sharing my gift guides though, to help prepare you guys for the Holiday season coming up! The number one gift guide you guys wanted to see? What to by the tweenager or TEEN boy (or girl!) in your life. But let's face it, boys are so hard to buy for. Especially teen boys. I get it. I struggle so much with what to get Nick for Christmas. I tried so hard to follow that, "Something to read, something they need, something they want" thing but it never works out here for some reason. Probably because Nick thinks he NEEDS a new snowboard after he just got one last year. Or the new iPhone when his is perfectly fine. (Both of these are good ideas by the way..) so, Today, I'm going to tell you guys some of my fun gift ideas for teenagers, and what exactly is on my 14 year boys Christmas wish list this year.

Note: I asked Nick to help me create this post of what teens ACTUALLY want so, you can thank him later for that.

Here goes!

Keep in mind the snowboard linked is strictly a "just for fun" snowboard, but in my experience it's good for them to have a goof off snowboard before they practice on one that costs way more money, it ends up getting split in two pieces and you spent half of your life savings on it. Not that I speak from experience, or anything.

Nick really loves to color and draw, draw more than color so a sketch pad and nice colored pencils are always on his list. I've found that most teens seem to enjoy sketching or doodling so it's a great universal gift for teens.

Some more awesome gift ideas for teens?

1. Gift Cards (think food, and video games. Typically you can't go wrong with either of those.) I know they're not as fun to give but trust me, teens appreciate them, and at least you know it will actually get used.

2. Funky socks, or slippers. Nick loves socks. And slippers. And teens seem to think its insanely cool to wear socks with shorts these days. I don't ask questions.

3. Anything that requires building or making something. I loved the think box I shared above that I spotted at Target, and while I think it's directed more towards the tweenagers and young teens, I think we all love to create, build and mess with things so this is a fun "Snow Day" box that you can tell your kids to go open when they've told you they're bored 784,929 times in one day.

What do you guys think about these gift ideas? Do you find it super hard to shop for boys (especially older boys) as much as I do? It seems like everything they want is super expensive. I hope you enjoyed this list and I hope you got some fun ideas for the tween/teen boy in your life!

Happy Tuesday!

  2. That’s a nice idea list. My son is 15 now and he’s always difficult to shop for. I usually have to badger him into giving me a list and when I finally get it; it’s generally all video games or computer games with maybe two books. We work really hard to surprise him. He does like to read, so last year we got him a new kindle with a black magnetic-close case and he loved it. We added a couple new books to it before he opened it Christmas morning. I’m really hoping that Santa brings me one this year. This year my in-laws found him a cool flying drone at Costco, and I think he’s going to love it. —Nikki

  4. RESTORATION CAME UPON MY LIFE WITH THE HELP OF FUNDING CIRCLE INC. AFTER BEEN DRAIN BY SCAMS ...

I'm Isabella Tyson from 1910 N Halsted St Unit 3, Chicago IL60614 USA,, i have been searching for a genuine loan company for the past few months and all i got was bunch of scams who made me to trust them and at the end of the day took my money without giving anything in return, all hope was lost i got confused and frustrated, i find it very difficult to feed my family and vowed never to have anything to do with loan companies on net and went to seek of assistance from a very good friend which i explained all my experience regarding online companies with and said he can help me that he knows of a Godsent and well known company called FUNDING CIRCLE PLC, he stated he just got a loan from them although i was still very unsure about this company due to my past experience but i decided to give it a try and did as i was directed by my friend and applied, i never believed but i tried and to my greatest surprise i received my loan in my bank account within 24 hours, i could not believe that i would stand on my feet financially again. I’m glad I took the risk and applied for the loan and today i'm thanking God that such loan companies still exist and promise to share the good news to people who are in need of financial assistance because the rate of scams on net is getting very serious and i don't want people to fall victim when we still have genuine and Godsent lenders.. You can contact this Godsent company using the information as stated and be a partaker of this great testimony.. Email: fundingcapitalplc@gmail.com OR Call/Text +14067326622 thanks
