Sav's Valentine's Day Room + February books with Walmart!
Hey hey babes!
You know we love all the Holidays around here, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I wanted to add some new vibes in Savanna’s room to surprise her for LOVE day coming up in a few weeks!
I decided to hit up Walmart because I love that freaking place and everything is super affordable. We have several pieces from Walmart like the bed in her room we’ve had for YEARS, the quality is so good, and it’s held up amazingly.
Sav has been asking for a “chair like Mommy’s” since last Summer and I kept waiting to find the perfect one. i knew I’d head to Walmart first because it’s my go to for kids furniture. When I saw this one on the Walmart site I about freaking DIED and I can’t wait to move it outside next to mine in the Summer, but for now I surprised her with a few new things for her room, the chair and some new Valentine’s Day books.
I decided to put together a little “reading corner” in her bedroom because she likes to sit up here a lot in the quiet and color, draw, or read to the dogs. True story. LOL.
I got these bookshelves a few months ago from Walmart and LOVE them, they hold a lot of books, and are super sturdy, They come with everything you need for hanging and work perfectly in this corner. The little chair just totally completes the space and we’re both obsessed with it!
Here are some of my favorite and inexpensive ways to add some Holiday cheer into littles spaces and rooms!
A cute throw blanket
Who doesn’t love a soft, cozy, comfy throw blanket! They’re typically inexpensive and a great way to encourage lots of cuddles and snuggle time. I stick with white bedding in Savanna’s room and a neutral color palette so we can add fun prints and colors in other ways, especially around the Holidays!
A new throw pillow
We love the selection on the Walmart.com website for pillows! Especially for Valentine’s Day! Using hearts is so fun all year long, but especially this time of year, I’m linking up a few of our favorites, including the sequin one that Savanna says is “oddly satisfying”.
Themed books
These are the ones we currently have on rotation!
Sav really loves to read and I love to encourage that, every month or so I buy a few new books and donate some old ones, I’ll link up some of our favorite Valentine’s Day books below along with her bookshelves.
Add Garland
I love cute festive garland this time of year! The options are literally endless, you could even make your own paper heart garland! Hanging some over a shelf, bed or window is always super cute and an easy way to add some festive vibes into a space.
Twinkle lights and a canopy
2 of Sav’s favorite things, we love twinkle lights around here and adding a canopy to a reading corner or over a bed gives the feeling of “personal space” plus it makes it just feel a little magical, don’t you think?
I can’t wait to enjoy this space with her! I hope you guys took something away from this post and learned some fun ways you can create a cute and festive space for your littles! Walmart has a crazy selection of kids furniture, bedding, rugs, curtains and everything else you could ever want or need to freshen up a kids play room, or bedroom on a budget!
{this post is sponsored by Walmart, but as always, all product sourcing, thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you so much for making this little blog possible!}
